My story is one where I found my inner resilience and used it to achieve goals which I would never have thought possible

I consider myself an ordinary woman who grew up and lived in a small town in central Queensland. I experienced early childhood adversity, a traumatic adolescence was surrounded by negative messaging, social stigmas innuendo and destructive gossip. I married early and had 3 children at a young age. One day when I was mopping the floor around the age of 23 I had the thought that “there must be more to life than this”.

I was a wife and mother who loved her family, but I didn’t know who I was anymore. I didn’t know what my personal goals or dreams were, I just felt I had another purpose that I was yet to discover.

Fast forward 35+ years …..

Fast forward 35+ years …..I have figured out who I am, what I love, what my goals and dreams are. I love to teach!!I have now completed multiple university degrees, authored and published my PhD and two other books. I’m a motivational speaker, and Coach, because on my journey I learned that I love to encourage women to work out what their dreams are, and then help to achieve them.

My Journey

Started back in my home town in Queensland. Where I made decisions that most people thought would ruin my life, but I‘ve never let that stop me, because I realised that it’s not what others think, it’s all about who you think you are.

People often feel they are here to do something more, but aren’t able to pinpoint what it is, how to get clear on their goals and dreams, let alone live in their purpose.

Everyone has goals and dreams whether it’s a parenting goal, lifestyle goal, financial goal, spiritual goal, or simply to cook a meal from scratch. It doesn’t matter whether they are big or small, if you achieve something that you set out to achieve it brings you immeasurable joy and pride.

Discovering your goals

I often meet people who know exactly what they want, and what their goals are but haven’t been able to take the first step toward achieving them. On the other side of that equation I work with many women who haven’t been able to identify what they want just yet, it’s just a “knowing” they that feel that they are called to do more before in their life so they will feel fulfilled.

Recognising your skills

As caregivers we often forget the skills we accumulate over time in that role, then wonder if we have what it takes to achieve a goal. You are most likely somebody’s accountant, productivity specialist, hospitality worker, project manager, maintenance engineer, healthcare worker, educator as well as a cheerleader, and a shoulder to cry on! So you definitely have what it takes to define your dream and take the steps to achieving it. You deserve to live a life that makes you happy.

I hope my story will inspire you to find your inner spark, because now is Your Time, and it is Your Life, and you deserve to live the life of your dreams.
